Art - Design and Media (VACD427)
This course introduces students to contemporary artistic practices of interactive imagery in media. The course focuses on the use of conventional and digital visuals in media. This course focuses on contemporary practices using interactive media. Projects supported in this course include interactive sound, image and video installations. The course will offer historical and theoretical insights into conventions and experimental models for analyzing contemporary productions. The focus of the program is to examine how images or objects interface with media environments. Emphasis is on expressive exploration of time-based media including sound, images, text and/or alternate physical feedback triggered through interactivity.
