Ersen Reynar, a patient of the Athlete’s Health Unit at the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation operating under the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Center for the Application and Research for Healthy Life (SAYMER), achieved great success. Reynar, who underwent surgery due to a Bankart lesion in his shoulder joint, won first place in the U17 category at the 2nd Champion Angels Beach Volleyball Tournament after completing his treatment.
Following his Bankart surgery in November 2023, Ersen Reynar underwent a 6-month long intense treatment program at the EMU Athlete’s Health Unit. During the rehabilitation process, Reynar has worked with physiotherapists at the Athlete’s Health Unit, especially with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Berkiye Kırmızıgil and Specialist Physiotherapist Merve Paksoy. After completion of his treatment program, Reynar regained his health and returned to the volleyball fields. Reynar participated in the 2nd Champion Angels Beach Volleyball Tournament and won the championship cup in the U17 category.
Ersen Reynar brought his trophy to the EMU Athlete’s Health Unit to celebrate his significant accomplishment. The EMU Faculty of Health Sciences, Athlete’s Health Unit, released a statement saying, “We continue to provide the best service to athletes and contribute to their success. We congratulate Ersen Reynar on this great achievement and wish him continued success in his sports career. We wish all our athletes days filled with health and success”.
