The application period for ‘Viral Advertising Competition’, to be held for the first time this year by the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Communication, Public Relations and Advertising Department has commenced on 21 April. Following the application period, which will continue until Tuesday, 31 May, 2022, all participants will be awarded a certificate of participation, and high school students who have ranked high will be presented awards at an award ceremony to be held in June 2022.
The sponsorship of the competition, to be held in cooperation with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Deputy Prime Ministry’s office, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, and Ministry of National Education, has been undertaken by Noyanlar Group and North Cyprus Turkcell. The theme of the competition has been determined as "Keep Your Culture Alive". In the Viral Advertising Contest, young participants will have a chance to promote the cultural richness of the region they live in with the work they will perform in the digital environment.
All 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students in public and private schools operating undeer the TRNC Ministry of National Education can participate in the competition. 5,000 TL+ Xiaomi Redmi Note 10s will be awarded to the participant who has been deemed worthy of the first place as a result of the jury evaluation, 3,000 TL+ Xiaomi Mi Band 6 will be presented to the winner of the second place and 2,000TL+ Apple Airtag will be given to the candidate making it to the third place. In addition, all participants will be honoured with participation certificates at the award ceremony.
